About David's Massage Offerings
David started his practice in massage on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii, in 1998. Currently he holds a license in Hawaii (MAT 6140) and Oregon (# 27241). Some of his training in massage includes Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Myofascial release, Thai massage, Hawaiian Lomi & Hawaiian Temple lomi massage, Structural Integration, Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy. `
David uses an integrative approach to his massage practice - an intuitive approach that reflects what your body needs at the time of your session.
David’s Journey To Massage
In 1987, David experienced a profound awakening that would change the course of his work in private practice to include massage. He initially studied massage through the Body Electric School. From 1998 to 2004, David took most of the coursework offered by the Body Electric School at the time.
In 2000, he enrolled in the Center for Awareness and Bodywork where he studied Structural Integration. Due to the deep nature of Structural Integration, the course work included emotional clearing techniques like hypnotherapy along with the Structural IIntegration curriculum. David found this holistic approach to fit well with his evolving practice.
David continued to incorporate a variety of massage trainings to better serve his clients. Most of David’s private practice has been in massage therapy. He occasionally contracted outside of his private practice to experience different learning environments, most notably for Dr. Yarema, of Kauai Center For Holistic Medicine & Research, where he practiced massage, Ayurvedic medicine, Chi Nei Tsang and Colon Hydrotherapy.
